Sustainable Places Advisor

I am looking to hire a Sustainable Places Advisor for one of my public sector client.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: Qualified RTPI - special planning

Experience/skills required
To be a successful Sustainable Places Advisor you'll ideally have some experience of working within the planning system, have a proven track record of excellent customer service, be capable of effective working within teams and possess good communication and IT skills.

You'll also have excellent organizational skills and be able to work to deadlines prioritizing your work.

KEY TASKS AND DELIVERABLES:

We're looking for someone to help us influence the lives and communities of people across East and West Sussex through our input into the planning system and our work with others.

As a Sustainable Places Advisor you'll:

deal with high risk planning applications and pre-application enquiries;

work with internal colleagues to understand environmental pressures and opportunities associated with development and translate these into clear messages for external customers;

build strong relationships with a range of customers including Local Planning Authority staff, developers, consultants and client family;

be up to date on the latest planning framework. The team This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Sustainable Places Team for East and west Sussex.

We're responsible for gaining positive outcomes through our input into the planning system: promoting sustainable development, managing flood risk, remediating land contamination, improving water quality and encouraging biodiversity.

We work with others to make sure new and existing developments have minimal environmental impact and well planned environmental infrastructure.
