Surveyor

Client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Project Surveyor for a 12+ month contract assignment located in Newark, New Jersey. You need to be a Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) in the state of NJ. Our client is looking for local candidates or in a commutable distance to Newark, NJ.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage the consulting surveyor firms reviewing for adherence to spec that is put together Contractor Project Surveyor Request in order to put together scopes
- At a technical level work with the Corporation's land surveying and mapping data
- Interface with clients and consult surveyors to determine and verify project survey requirements
- The Registered Land Surveyor will oversee work of CAD, Survey Technicians, and outside field survey teams in the production of surveys, photogrammetric and other external services to meet project requirements
- The RLS will support the client by attending project meetings, providing input, evaluating & managing the required field survey work and development of site plans needed to obtain government approvals & complete projects

- Provide survey and mapping services to meet client requirements

REQUIREMENTS

- 3 years direct work performing land survey calculations, preparing boundaries and site plans using CAD tools (AutoCAD/MicroStation) and COGO, writing metes and bounds descriptions
- Licensed as a New Jersey Professional Land Surveyor (for the Lead position only)
- Knowledge & experience with survey engineering practices, land acquisition, project management & appropriate automation software (lead position only)
- Must have experience managing 3rd party survey consulting firms on large projects
