The post holder will assist the surgeon in the smooth running of the surgical programme within orthopaedics. This will encompass all aspects of surgical orthopaedic treatment and facilitate the delivery of pre and post-operative care liaising with all members of the team.
Clinical responsibilities will include acting as first assistant and under direct supervision will carry out certain invasive procedures. The successful applicant will be a member of the MSK nurse practitioner team and as such will assist in providing operational support across the CBU if required.
The successful applicant must be flexible, motivated, have excellent communication skills and able to remain calm under pressure.
It is likely that the post would last for six months, hours negotiable (but a need to be flexible), around 30 hrs a week.
