Surface Finish Technician Support 3

RAF Marham is home to a range of diverse units, including the Headquarters of the RAF`s Tornado GR Force.

You will report to the Surface Finish Site Manager and are responsible for the undertaking Support tasks as directed by the Support department supervisor

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Processing work set by the Surface Finish Support Supervisor.

Issuing / supporting Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all personnel.

Ensuring Support tasks are completed in accordance with the quality policy, procedures and standards required.

Compliance with all Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental and Aviation safety requirements. Ensuring all applicable health and safety procedures are followed including COSHH and Risk assessment directives and that the necessary controls are in place.

Notify section leaders of any anomalies, failures, defects, which may give rise to a poor quality product.

Archiving of internal Health & Safety documentation (inclusive of mandatory operator maintenance documentation).

Removal and disposal of Waste materials following surface finishing activities.

Restocking of storage areas, consumable cabinets and Flammable paint vaults.

General maintenance of Surface Finishing equipment.

Key Skills/Experience

You will demonstrate a willingness to support and assist the Site Manager with enthusiasm for learning new skills and undertaking designated tasks are all necessary attributes.

You will demonstrate excellent man-management and communication skills.

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience in a painting or engineering environment is essential.

Due to the location of this role, personal transport is essential.

Attention to detail and an eye for quality

Proven awareness of health and safety

Works well as part of a team
