This exciting, newly created role requires a highly motivated Supportability Engineer (ILS). We are looking for someone whom is very adept at managing and delivering ILS products whilst possessing a strong technical knowledge.

This is an excellent opportunity to get involved within a rapidly growing organisation on both a national and international scale.

Provide Supportability Engineering skills and knowledge to specify, develop and deliver support solutions for the product portfolio.

Depending on the stage of the particular project, the Supportability Engineer (Integrated Logistics Support) will be accountable to the ILS Manager/Team Leader for:
*Scoping and developing the most appropriate support strategy.
*Successfully influencing the product design to enhance in-service supportability.
*Develop and deliver Supportability Analysis reports
*Undertake Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA),
*Designing and developing the support solution for the product.
*Analyse the support requirements within a bid/project and define the tasks and associated resources required to support the product/solution through life.
*Support bid programmes, proposals, report writing, ILS programme schedules and compliance.
*Ability to estimate ILS level of effort for costing purposes.
*Deliver all the mandated ILS elements plans.

Knowledge, skills and personal qualities required:

*An engineering background, with a relevant degree or previous related experience.
*A comprehensive understanding of DEFSTAN 00-600 and international standards and guidance relating to ILS activities.
*The candidate should have working knowledge of: Supportability Repository, PTC Windchill/Relex, OPUS 10, DRACAS or FRACAS, JSP886 or ASD3000L or MIL-STD-1388 standards, ASD 1000D standards
*Essential experience in the production of ISP and ILS element plans and associated tasks/analyses.
*Supportability engineering skills to analyse the product supportability to develop and deliver a support solution.
*Proven track record of; proposal writing, SOW, generating associated costs and responding to RFQ's etc.
*Good inter-personnel skills since the individual will be interacting with the Customer and internal functions.
*A track record of successfully executing projects throughout the CADMID cycle.
*Obsolescence Management Planning.
*Disposal Planning.
*Supportability Case Preparation.
*Production of, and conduct of, a Level of Repair Analysis.
