Role Purpose: Provide Supportability Engineering skillsto ensure ILS project drivers are fully understood, considered, and the impacts of any associated risks are reduced.

Skills and Knowledge:
The applicant will be expected to have

An engineering background, with a relevant degree or previous related experience.
Supportability engineering skills to analyse the product supportability to develop and deliver a support solution.
A comprehensive understanding of DEFSTAN 00-600 and international standards and guidance relating to ILS activities.
A high level of competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Well developed planning and organisational abilities.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
Good inter-personnel skills since he/she will be interacting with the Customer and internal functions (Tech Pubs/Training etc.)
A track record of successfully managing projects, particularly within the 'Demonstration' Phase of the CADMID cycle, including:
Obsolescence Management Planning.
Disposal Planning.
Supportability Case Preparation.
Surveillance & Life Assessment Planning.
Production of, and conduct of, a Level of Repair Analysis.
Conducting a Maintenance Task Analysis.
