ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE MANDATORY

Applicants MUST have a good understanding of the construction world. Ideally we would want to see an individual who is qualified at ONC or HNC level in Building Studies, Building Services, or a similar related Construction qualification, together with at least 3 years experience of working at ground level.

The support role for the management and delivery of MOD Construction Infrastructure projects from concept stage to transfer of completed facilities to the end-user, within time, cost and quality parameters and in accordance with MOD policies and procedures.

TASK 1 - Feasibility & assessment: Reviewing requirements and prepare feasibility assessment using in house and expertise prior to industry engagement.

TASK 2 - Managing suppliers and delivery: Commission and manage suppliers to deliver construction projects (from concept to transfer of completed facilities to end user) to agreed time, cost and quality parameters including MOD intelligent customer appraisal of contractor's proposals to ensure value for money solutions. MOD focal point for resolution of all technical issues Act in the role of Client for CDM Regulations. Ensure compliance with all MOD and Statutory Regulations. Collaborate with Commercial to identify the optimum procurement strategy Provide regular management reports and returns to required timescale and standard and produce exception reports as necessary Contribute to Business Case submissions

TASK 3 - Stakeholder and end user management: Ensure that all stakeholders are engaged in a timely manner and that their input is addressed. Reviewing and interpreting end-user requirements for adherence to MOD requirements and translating them to enable suppliers to deliver project objectives and benefits.

TASK 4 - Finance: Manage the project budget within delegated authority, providing accurate and timely forecasts. Provide finance information in support of MOD financial approvals process

TASK 5 - Risk & issues management: Pro-actively manage risk at all project stages to drive optimal delivery Promptly manage emerging issues to avoid programme delay or cost escalation

TASK 6 - Development: To share best practice amongst peers and undertake lessons learned exercises for projects within their delegation or assignment.
