Support Period Assurance Maintenance Engineer

SUPPORT PERIOD ASSURANCE MAINTENANCE ENGINEER - MARITIME, RCM, UMMS

A Support Period Assurance Maintenance Engineer with Maritime, RCM, UMMS experience is required to work on a six month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Portsmouth.

This is a 7 month contact with a leading defence company.

OVERVIEW OF THE SUPPORT PERIOD ASSURANCE MAINTENANCE ENGINEER CONTRACT ROLE.

Part of the COM Assurance Team. Responsible for the day to day management and co-ordination of all deep maintenance activities to deliver specific support period in the life of a platform. To deliver the support period within time and budget, to the customer requirements.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE SUPPORT PERIOD ASSURANCE MAINTENANCE ENGINEER.

- Excellent practical problem solving skills (PPS) Logical, analytical approach to pragmatic and effective problem resolution.
- Ability to interrogate maintenance data systems and make recommendations, based upon an informed analysis of company/Industry Knowledge.
- Understanding of the immediate COM and wider business goals.
- Understanding and experience of the defence maritime industry, especially the MoD maritime structure and departments.
- Knowledge of key company and MoD processes Experience of LCM and governance arrangements on similar sized projects.
- Understanding of the partnering between Government and private sector.
- Understanding of industry and MoD platform management tools and processes Qualifications.
- Likely to have military marine background Extensive technical or professional experience.
- Likely to hold professional Engineer status with a recognised body in a relevant discipline.
- Appropriate and proven project management experience RCM and/or UMMS experience preferable.

The role is based in Portsmouth, Hampshire - commutable from Southampton, Cowes, Isle of Wight, Salisbury, Winchester, Andover, Basingstoke, Guildford, Aldershot, Crawley, Horsham, Brighton, Worthing, Chichester.
