Support Engineer- Linux- SC/DV Clearance

LINUX SUPPORT ENGINEER/VIRTUALISATION SPECIALIST/LINUX SUPPORT ANALYST- (CENTOS/UBUNTO/REDHAT/LAMP/RPM/DPKG) - REQUIRED FOR A 3-6 MONTH CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY BASED IN THE SOUTH EAST.

In order to be considered for this opportunity you must hold current SC or DV clearance.

This role is to SUPPORT LINUX BASED APPLICATIONS AND TO SUPPORT THE SHARED HOSTING ENVIRONMENTS.

Must have experience of installing, configuring and managing high availability virtualised platforms, including management of Linux based systems, technologies including VMWare.

THE LINUX CLOUD SUPPORT ENGINEER WILL NEED TO HAVE A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF THE FOLLOWING:- Installing, configuring and managing Linux Based operating, (CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat)

Patch management of Linux based systems- SPACEWALK/SATELLITE, RPM AND DPKG MANAGEMENT, LAMP, SQUID, POSTFIX, SENDMAIL, LDAP AND APACHE

VMWare

NFS, NDMP and Iscsi

Active Directory

Experience of installing, configuring and managing various tools to manage and monitor virtual environments.

Good knowledge of unified storage (NetApp with vFiler DR and MetroCluster experience preferred)

Hardware installation, configuration and management, including Blade Technology (HP and UCS).

A Shift pattern will be carried out within core working hours (07:00 - 19:00) with on call working.
