SUPPORT ENGINEER - LINUX PLATFORMS

On behalf of my client who is a Global SI with a t/o in excess of $6bn and present in over 31 countries, GIOS Technology are looking for a Support Engineer - Linux platforms for a 6m project in Prague.

*JOB DESCRIPTION

To resolve the tickets raised as per the defined standards of time| cost and quality for increased customer satisfaction. (1.) To document all the defined processes and the methods of resolving the ticket| troubleshooting etc. (2.) To interface with customers for ticket clarification/resolution (3.) To troubleshoot and resolve tickets raised by the clients. (4.) To update self on latest technologies and related areas

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT

2-3 years' experience in engineering solutions on Linux platforms.
Knowledge and experience with Informatica/MDM and Oracle 11 technologies.
Familiarity with Release Management, Problem and Incident Management, Software Development Life Cycle best practices and project methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
Familiarity with engineering cloud-based solutions and services.
Confident self-starter who is organized and is able to manage a number of competing priorities.

Desired Experience and Skills:
Have familiarity with Apache and TIBCO/CIM technology.
Have familiarity with data goverance standards.
Have familiarity with security best practices as well as knowledge of AD and LDAP technologies.
Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate technical and non-technical information verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to work in team setting with a globally diverse group.
Demonstrated ability to balance competing project needs.
