Support Engineer (L3 Level Support)

JOB PROFILE:

Support Engineer for Scientific applications on Pharma R&D Sector

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Seeking a technical consultant to provide L2,L3 level support on Scientific applications. Act as an system administrator of scientific applications and involve in operational activities with scientific community of R&D Sector in Pharma domain. The ideal candidate should have a strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support Implementation, analysis and administrate of scientific applications.
- Understand and refine critical business issues and to be able to strategically position the Informatics solutions to our customers.
- Tracks, troubleshoots and resolve application related issues.
- Analyze error/fault messages and questions.
- Answer questions, clear faults, propose solutions and/or arrange appropriate measures to be taken, involve experts.
- Liaise with customer groups and dedicated other IT functions to optimize user support.
- Ensure close collaboration with appropriate system owners and key stakeholders in business
- Ensure proper implementation of global standards, policies and regulatory compliance (GLP & GCP).
- Creation and maintenance of GxP related documents.
- Ensure all customer (internal and external) issues relating to the scientific application are managed effectively and efficiently in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the overall administration of the laboratory computer systems including user management, software updates and maintaining the validated state.
- Participate in business workflow validation, system qualification and maintenance associated with scientific applications
- Handle standard Service Requests and perform User Administration for various scientific applications.
- Support test, Computer System Validation and roll-out activities within planned change control and maintain relevant documentation based on the application/business expertise.

MANDATORY TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Programming/Coding: PL/SQL, PowerShell, Shell Scripting

Operating systems: Windows Server Administration, UNIX/Linux

Middleware: IIS Administration, Jboss Administration, Apache Administration

DOMAIN ABILITIES:

- Work Experience in GxP Laboratory environment and data analysis.
- Work Experience in Major Laboratory Information Management Systems and scientific applications. [Waters SDMS, Thermo Fischer LIMS, TOPATZI Animal Management System, Lab Vantage LIMS]
- Strong experience in computerized laboratory system compliance and validation.
- In-depth knowledge of FDA and European compliance regulations and GAMP guidelines applicable to computer system validation
- Development and maintenance of instrument interfaces for data entry into Laboratory applications.
- Familiar with off-the-shelf, configurable, and custom-developed applications

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in laboratory operations, LIMS administration or equivaled scientific applications
- Master's degree in Chemistry or Biology
