Support Engineer - Field based (UK, Europe and abroad) - Permanent - Oxfordshire

A permanent vacancy has arisen for a Support Engineer to join a high technology company based in Oxfordshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer/ technician to perform in a service and support function. The majority of your time will be spent on site but travel will be involved to see customers in the UK and across Europe and the US.

The right candidate will have both electronics and mechanical knowledge and be able to support and service laser based measurement instruments.

Responsibilities will include dealing with customer support requests and carrying out scheduled and responsive activities. You will go out to customer sites to carry out maintenance and service optical, mechanical and electrical systems.

Training will be provided so you can get a good grasp of their products, however ability to build, test, debug and install these products is necessary.

* qualifications in electrical or electronics or related discipline

* experience of supporting laboratory and production equipment or in a similar role

* good communication skills

* full UK driving licence

Salary will depend upon level of experience.
