Support Analyst/Production Support Job

SYSTEMS ANALYST/PRODUCTION SUPPORT needed for a LONG TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Princeton, NJ.

THE BIG PICTURE:

- Should be experienced in complete software development life cycle and have hands-on experience in analysing and documenting functional requirements and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
- Should be familiar with various software life cycle methodologies (eg Agile, Waterfall etc.) and should be a hands-on, solution oriented individual with strong analysis, logical and problem solving skills; along with a good understanding of business process, excellent debugging skills, and the ability to communicate well with business and technical partners while handling multiple parallel deliverables.
- Must have the ability to work with multiple external customers and communicate clearly on the technical solution and understanding of business impact is a must.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide production support to the AD users. Resolving their issues and providing workarounds.
- Documenting software issues encountered in production
- Analyzing the root cause and debugging the issues.
- Interacting with the developers and interfacing application (NeXT, XPP, ONE, etc) Developers and Analysts
- Query and update database to resolve user issues.
- Provide an end-to-end resolution for the user request/issues
- Document functional requirements for migrating programs on to

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Four to six (4-6) years of experience of systems analysis
- One to two (1-2) years of experience with application support
- Strong analytical, logical and problem solving skills
- Good with PL/SQL
- Exposure with Web applications developed in Java/J2EE a plus
