About the Support Analyst (Analyst, Support Analyst, SQL) role

The fixed income and credit trading business at a major investment bank has an opportunity for a technically astute Support Analyst (Analyst, Support Analyst, SQL) with strong communication and problem solving skills to assume a position within their electronic trading support team. The primary responsibility of the Support Analyst (Analyst, Support Analyst, SQL) will be to support a number of applications across credit derivatives business lines such as Flow Credit, CDS's and other electronically traded debt derivatives.

Requirements for the Support Analyst (Analyst, Support Analyst, SQL) role

You will come from a front office credit trading application support background and be experienced in technology environments that utilise a myriad of different applications on top of a complex trading infrastructure. You will have a very strong technical background which includes in-depth Unix Scripting skills, complex SQL database querying skills and a good understanding of networking and development languages. You will have a sound appreciation of the production support challenges that highly distributed front office technology environments with inter-operable applications written in different languages (e.g. Java, C#, C++) brings to the table. You will also likely have experience of supporting in-house electronic trading systems and ideally have knowledge of the FIX protocol. Knowledge of ITRS Geneos will also be very advantageous.

You will be a keen team player and thrive in fast-paced and technically challenging front office support roles. An in-depth understanding of the full trade life cycle from a support perspective, excellent prioritisation skills and the ability to communicate with the business in a calm and professional manner is essential.
