Support Analyst

One of my clients in the banking, financial, advisory, investment and funds management services space is looking to bring on a support analyst to join their team focusing on the fixed income, currencies, and commodities area. Here is a brief overview of the role:

Responsibilities:

- Day to day support to the middle and back office systems in a trading environment (some support to overseas office)
- Small to medium Java development tasks to fix production support issues
- Maintenance of production back office environment
- Maintain and support engineering standards

Technical skills

- 3+ Years production support experience
- Light development background: Java, Javascript, JSP, HTML, Struts, and hibernate experience (low level) is needed
- Application experience: Websphere, Weblogic, or Jboss
- Database experience: Sybase or DB2
- Middle office experience helpful (Clearvision)
- Trading background: 2+ yrs experience in trading environment (fixed income, currencies, commodities background a plus)
- Helpful skills: understanding of Microsoft and Windows, networks, trading platforms
