Supply Risk Management Consultant

Our client, a multinational pharmaceutical company, is currently looking for a PROCUREMENT CONSULTANT to help them with the development of a SUPPLY RISK MANAGEMENT STRATEGY. The SUPPLY RISK MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT will work at our client in Belgium at least until the end of the year.

Scope of work:

The role will focus on partnering withTechnical Teams (QA, R&D, NPD, NPI, RA, GTS, External communications, Engineering, Global Industrial Operations, Commercial, Legal dept) and the Supplier base to develop and implement processes tontinually ensure GOOD SUPPLY RISK MANAGEMENT PRACTICES.

- The job holder will help to build and embed Risk Management as a core competency of procurement organisation.
- The job holder will ensure the development and implementation of a Risk Management Strategy
- The job holder will ensure the development of a programme of work that delivers Supply Risk Management benefits through category specific strategies, internal & external collaboration and a supplier engagement programme.
- The job holder must collaborate with and influence a range of external stakeholders to ensure that the execution of Supply Risk Management strategy remains at the vanguard of industry best practice and is well received externally.
- The job holder will provide the Production Procurement department and all business partners with a "dashboard" of progress on Supply Risk Management identifying high performing and low performing areas compared to the agreed business targets.
- The job holder will develop and implement a communication strategy on Supply Risk activities.

Essential skills & requirements:

- Leading Risk Management experience in a global framework, with high visibility and multiple stakeholders is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within a pharmaceutical/chemical company
- Good understanding and knowledge of procurement framework and activities, transversal & international procurement experience is an asset (Production, Service, CAPEX, Maintenance ).
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent influencing, persuasion & communication skills to develop relationships internally & externally.
- Change management skills applied to technical & behavioural fields.
- Good didactical capabilities. Capacity to develop fit for purpose messages & trainings.
- Experience in creating and reporting measures of organization performance.
