SUPPLY PLANNER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Pittsburgh, PA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Computer skills including Manugistics, SAP, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) are strongly preferred.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Oversees inventory and supply planning Analyzes and projects all aspects of company's financial performance
- Maintains capacity plans, production schedules and/or finite schedules to ensure the efficient delivery of inventory, service and cost objectives
- For some locations/plants, responsibilities may also include inventory stock transfer/replenishment responsibilities
- Identifies ways to improve supply planning processes and tools for assigned areas
- Provides supply planning expertise to the commercialization of new products or resolution of key inventory shortage issues
- Production Planning - Production plans are developed to support the business plan for assigned brands and products
- Master Scheduling - Schedule finished goods production for each assigned product group. This schedule is developed using Manugistics Supply recommendations based upon scheduling parameters and system settings the supply planner has developed and maintains in the system to support sales goals, inventory financial targets as well as minimizing the age of product when shipped to a customer
- Track plant/business performance (KPIs) to the established supply chain plan such as service goals, Days Supply, 13 month inventory average, and plant adherence Manage the short-term (quarterly) and long-term (yearly) budgeting process for Brands.
- Understanding of variances and being able to explain to management are critical success factors Product Supply Coordination - Coordinate activity that impacts Brands ability to maintain constant and sufficient product supply, ensuring communication with Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, and other internal customers
- Inventory Management - Manage and control finished goods inventories for assigned items in order to achieve the company's financial targets along with utilizing old age reports to determine action required to initiate salvage sale or disposal of product
- Acts as a liaison and communication point between Factorys, Sales & Marketing, Demand Planning, Transportation, Warehousing and Customer Service.
- Keep all parties apprised of potential problems or issues impacting the business initiate product listing/delisting/withdrawal in conjunction with Marketing Deployment
- Collaborate with deployment team to deploy finished good inventories of assigned items across the distribution network to support customer needs using Manugistics supply planning software while maintaining mode mix
- May be applicable based upon brands. Miscellaneous Tasks - Participate in department and company initiatives requiring the expertise of a supply planner
- Activities could include but are not limited to consensus seasonal teams, new product

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum of four to six (4-6) years of education and related experience in areas such as production scheduling, inventory management or supply/operations planning.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- APICS certification is a plus
