SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST - SUPPLY CHAIN, MICROSOFT OFFICE SUITE, PROCUREMENT

A Supply Chain Specialist with Supply Chain, Microsoft Office Suite, Procurement skills/experience is required to work on a twelve month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Bristol

OVERVIEW OF THE SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST CONTRACT ROLE

- Manage Supply Chain transactions to support the Supply Chain Manager and assist in the implementation of the Procurement strategy as directed
- Carry out Supply Chain transactions as required
- Assist the Supply Chain Manager in implementing Procurement Strategy as directed
- Ensure all transactions are conducted in a timely manner
- Contribute to implementation of Procurement Plan and delivery schedules
- Assist in preparation of Request for Information/Quotation (RFI/Q)
- Answer supplier queries during RFI/Q process.
- Assist in managing risks associated with procurement strategy

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST

- Supply Chain experience understanding of SAP desirable, but can be trained
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of Procurement tools and processes

The role is based in Bristol - commutable from Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Worcester, Cirencester, Swindon, Devizes, Trowbridge, Bath, Taunton, Bridgwater, Weston-Super-Mare, Newport and Cardiff.
