Job type: Contract (13 Months Initially)

Location: Portsmouth easily commutable from Southampton, Hampshire, Reading and with excellent access from South Coast

Rate: Negotiable

OUTSOURCE UK LTD IS ACTIVELY SEEKING TO RECRUIT A SUPPLY CHAIN QA ENGINEER FOR A CONTRACT ROLE ON BEHALF OF A CLIENT.

THE CLIENT:
A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

THE JOB:
The successful Supply Chain QA Engineer candidate will be responsible for the following:
Monitoring the effectiveness of the quality control system to assure product and service conformance to requirements
Lead system, process, product, service audits and investigation
Contribute to Management System development/deployment/maintenance
Quality Management review and reporting to drive improvement through the business
Provide guidance and support to operators conducting Quality related roles impacting on product and services
Liaising with Suppliers and MoD/RN Quality customer in support of quality aspects of operational deliveries

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Support to and assurance of bodies of evidence and product and service conformity delivered to the customer
Conduct of continuous improvement activities
Management, reporting and analysis of quality related: Non conformances, Audit Planning and results, Quality Metrics, Customer compliments and complaints

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE
Degree or HNC in an appropriate technical discipline or equivalent experience within RN or RAF
PC Literate, demonstrable report writing and with knowledge of MS Office applications and other relevant software
CQI Chartered Professional preferred
ISO 9001 Auditor (Lead Auditor preferred)
LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies preferred
Understanding of the a highly regulated manufacturing/service environment (defence industry preferred)
Understanding of the partnering between Government and private sector.
Broad understanding of Matrix management in a complex operational environment.
Thorough understanding statutory and legal obligations and their application
