Supply Chain Planner

This role oversees the Supply Chain planning (forecasting and inventory) requirements process. This is a hands-on position responsible for developing and executing short and long-term supply plans to balance the forecast and required service levels.

Tasks
Designing and generating weekly and monthly (statistical) forecast reports.
Assemble and analyze all data relevant for creating the forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions and inventory levels).
Establish and utilize best methods (statistical models and software tools) in creating forecasts and respective inventory targets.
Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends.
Conduct ongoing development of inventory strategies to determine cost-effective use of inventory investment while maximizing inventory turns and meeting service level targets
Develop and maintain purchase plan. Submit, monitor and report on purchase orders and stock transfers according to plans and stock transfers.
Chair forecast and inventory planning meetings with internal stakeholders, reviewing recommended sales forecasts and inventory goals (emphasis on product life cycles, new product introduction, and promotions).
Manage inventory targets (including safety stock levels), stock allocation and alignment with 3PL.
Prepare, report, and communicate forecast and inventory measurements to management (forecast accuracy, inventory plan vs. targets).
Evolving and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for supply chain planning processes and systems
Continuously improving forecasting techniques, method, and approach.

Qualifications
Educational background: Bachelor, preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
Experience in and knowledge of purchasing, demand and supply planning and inventory management processes and systems
Experience in setting-up and maintaining advanced planning and replenishment systems
2 + years' experience in a relevant position
