Supply Chain Manager Role - for leading Subsea Oil & Gas company. Huxley Associates is pleased to be working with a leading international group within the Subsea, Oil and Gas Industry. This company is looking for a new Supply Chain Manager to assist the Supply Chain Management team within theCumbria area. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager you will lead a team of 10 people covering Sourcing, procurement, Purchasing, Warehouse, Logistics, Trade & Compliance activities. You will be responsible for the development and execution of the Supply Chain strategy across theCumbria plant. Responsibilities: * Lead, motivate and develop the Supply Chain team to deliver outstanding supply chain solutions to the business. * Develop and implement appropriate local sourcing strategies and supplier network for key categories. Work with the Global Category Manager to ensure strategy aligns with wider supply chain strategy. * Development and implementation of procurement strategies to support increasing customer expectations. * Ongoing development and management of a supply base within the agreed commodity groups. * The management of suppliers to ensure the appropriate level of performance is delivered and managing any shortfalls in these expectations. Provide a focus on continued development and management of a supply base within the agreed commodity groups. * Identifies opportunities and implements continuous improvement activities across the Supply Chain organisation at the plant. Qualifications & Skills required: * Degree or equivalent qualification desirable * CIPS or equivalent desirable * Experience of managing a supply chain team, ideally including inventory and warehousing disciplines. * Significant relevant experience gained within a manufacturing environment - knowledge of MRP systems. * Proven and demonstrative negotiation ability * Ability to think strategically and logically * Creative with strong problem solving and decision making ability * A credibility to interface with key players both internally and externally through a high level of interpersonal skills.
