Supply Chain Manager

Position Summary:
This position provides leadership, direction and ensures proper execution of operations responsible for sourcing and logistics and financial performance at a specific medical center complex. Leads, and manages the medical center's daily operations of the 24-hour Materials Management which encompasses budget, compliance, service and quality, sourcing and logistics services, which usually includes purchasing & contracting services, distribution (internal/external), storage, perioperative services, inventory control systems, linen and laundry, mailroom, transportation and new facilities space and operations planning. Supervise five different shifts that is open during different hours. Supervise shipping, receiving, inventory control, replenishment, and order picking. Complete all HR needs to include employee reviews, timecards and progressive discipline. Work with Union employees and create Unit Base Teams (UBT). Assist in the management of an inventory and resolve inventory issues. Develops and implements policies/procedures that support the regional and national purchasing goals to achieve maximum savings and great efficiencies. Ensures compliance with established regional and national goals and standards.

EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. Masters degree preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:
PROGRESSIVE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE (usually 6-8 years) in a health care setting. Previous budget development and management experience (usually 1-3 years). Demonstrated competence in operation of inventory control systems and software applications with the ability to develop complex spreadsheets and write effective business communications.
Combination of purchasing, contracting, materials management or other related areas, including previous experience with material management systems and control of an inventory of $5m - $10m. Experience of demonstrated ability to analyze problems, make recommendations and implement solutions.

KNOWLEDGE OF FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL REGULATIONS including Title 22 along with The Joint Commission and CMS requirements. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements including Sarbanes-Oxley, medical recalls, and resolving all Payment Match Errors (PME).

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN A LABOR/MANAGEMENT PARTNERSHIP ENVIRONMENT.
