One of our client is currently looking for a 1 year assignment for a:
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
Location: Walloon Brabant
THE SUPPLY CHAIN DEPARTMENT has to be ready to face the challenges of supporting the company in its ambition and effectively implement the deliverables of an on-going end-to-end SUPPLY CHAIN OPTIMIZATION PROJECT. Key pre-requisites to successfully manage this change journey are strong organizational capabilities, maturity, leadership, adherence to processes and strong performance management. The mission of this senior interim management role is to support to the Head of Supply Chain & Procurement and his Leadership Team to accelerate this development process. The objective is to design and implement solutions addressing the short and mid term capability development needs of Supply Chain. The role will involve advisory activities but it will focus to a large extent on implementation with the main objective to achieve adoption of solutions. Duration if the mission is likely to be 12 months. The role reports to the Director Effectiveness.
Tasks:
Change management & Organizational development
- Design and implement actions and change management to enhance Leadership capabilities in the organization.
- Deliverable: improved people survey score by 10% by end 2013
People development
- Implement a capability enhancement plan based on defined priorities. Implement an education program that focuses on developing and maintaining functional supply chain competencies (Demand mgt, Logistics, etc.) as well as behavior & leadership skills (Strategic mindset, Priority setting etc.).
- Deliverable: competency development strategies created & implemented, learning solutions adopted, learning events organized
Sustainable solutions
- Ensure that the results of objectives 2) & 3) are sustainable by establishing a learning network within supply chain. Coordinate and coach a number of learning managers with part time people development responsabilities.
- Deliverable: learning network of internal competency owners functioning and motivated
Process adoption
- Increase knowledge and adherence to global excellence supply chain processes, support the effective adoption of those.
- Deliverable: knowledge and adherence to supply chain processes - success is full adoption
Performance management
- Implement a performance mindset through Key Performance Indicators that reflect true Supply Chain performance and drive performance and actions both on top and line management level.
- Deliverable: shift to a performance culture where measurement of relevant metrics make performce gaps visible, remediation actions are triggered and followed up
Communication
- Ensure effective communication to internal audiences and towards the various stakeholders of Supply Chain.
- Deliverable: communication materials, methods and timing to different audiences in
support of the change management activities
Prerequisites:
Education
Master level degree in business, preferably MBA
Knowledge
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills
- Learning agility, adoptability, flexibility
- Practical attitude, ability to move from strategy and advisory into practical hands-on implementation
- Engaging communicator/previous exposure to both operational and C-level environment
- Fluent in French & English

Experience
- A senior profile with solid business acumen and experience in Supply Chain Management and Organizational capability development (eg workforce transformation and/or performance management)
- Proven experience in successful project and change management
- Ideally the candidate has experience both from industry and management consulting
