Our client is a globally operating company with the focus on plant and mechanical engineering.

They are seeking for an experienced "Supply Chain Evangelist" (m/f) for their location near Berlin (Germany) or Derby (UK)

Location: Berlin (Germany) or Derby (UK)

Type of contract: Unlimited permanent position directly at our client

Your key tasks:

* Plan and lead the implementation of supply chain strategies according to targets and KPIs

* Define standard Logistics Requirement Document (LRDs) as input to the sourcing process

* Develop business cases

* Contribute the Logistics Requirement Document (LRDs) negotiation with suppliers

* Lead the deployment of the logistics flow

* Define packaging strategies in terms of standard

* Enquire concrete packaging requirements for production and define the methods with the respective area * Define the transport strategies

* Lead the transport strategies

* Reach targets and KPIs, define and implement actions for optimization where required

* Measure logistics processes with the contribution of other functions to improve quality and reduce costs

* Identify potential for improvement in the whole value chain

* Develop efficient problem solutions in collaboration with the local Logistics Methods Team.

* Regular reporting to Management

Your profile:

* Master degree in Engineering and/or Business studies or comparable qualification

* Strong experience in Logistics Methods

* Extensive knowledge of materials management as well as manufacturing processes and tools

* Good understanding of the Procurement processes.

* Good working knowledge of manufacturing engineering and all interfacing functions in a project

* Strong communication and diplomacy skills

* Business English fluently
