Supply Chain Coordinator

For our client in Basel we are looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator in Basel for a contract for 10 months.

* Provide technical expertise in area of responsibility

- Lead creation of new local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or adaptation and updates of existing local SOPs due to changes in the global processes
- Review of new global processes: direct escalation to GCC (Global AwOps Competency Centre) and support the GCC with input and review of new processes

* Lead innovative ideas in collaboration with CMOs or other stakeholders

- Lead or take part in strategic process reengineering projects with long-term impact (eg IQP - Lead and review continuous improvement projects

* Responsible for onboarding new CMOs to the End-to-end artwork process

- Create a gap assessment of the global artwork process versus CMO process
- Negotiate, set-up and implement Artwork Process Agreement (APA)
- Provide training and documentation to the CMOs in order to enable them to perform their duties in accordance with the Artwork Process

* Lead and coordinate mass artwork changes and major projects

- Manage the coordination among internal & external process customers
- Ensure customer focused life cycle-management for projects in case of launches, mock-ups, text changes, safety related changes, transfers and technical changes
- Responsible for setting the right priorities to ensure timely delivery of the approved artwork especially for launches, safety related changes and transfers to guarantee fast and successful implementation of the products on the market (avoid stock-out situations).
- Keeping the overview on project progress to support timely availability of new valid bills of material (BoMs)
- Supervise and plan volume, capacity and timelines under consideration of project priorities
- Ensure understanding, coordination and implementation of specific projects such as Serialization, Tamper evidence, packaging design books, colour management, etc.

* Ensure high quality of artworks and process compliance

- Ensure in time availability of regulatory-compliant, high quality artworks resulting in printed packaging materials for but also for artworks created by other companies holding the marketing authorisation which are distributed via turntable Basel worldwide (avoid recalls)
- Responsible for GMP compliant documentation following external and internal regulatory aspects and processes
- Guarantee immediate and proactive communication and escalation of any deviation of implementation plans to respective AwOps partners by proactive evaluating and providing proposals for new timelines and priorities
- Ensure creation and implementation of CAPAs for deviations and performance improvement for all involved parties (TechOps ESO scope)

* Serve as primary point of escalation for deviations and issues for responsible CMOs and External Service Providers (Artwork Studio and NEAS)

* Manage performance of the CMOs and External Service Providers

- Set clear objectives and review KPIs with CMOs and External Service Providers

* Deputize line manager in global AwOps exchange meetings or other meetings/projects

* Capacity and resource planning

- Manage capacity and resource planning with NEAS and Artwork Studios in case of mass changes
- Align with line manager for the overall capacity and resource planning
- Communicate new major changes to CMO in scope and ensure capacity availability
- Lead priority setting for mass artwork change projects and escalate/communicate where timelines cannot be met

* Quality

- Close collaboration with CMOs as well as Artwork Studios and NEAS to identify areas for improvement to meet or exceed the global KPI targets
- Assure in-time, regulatory-compliant, high quality artworks for printed packaging material according to delivered or assembled texts from CPO, technical specifications from CMO, design guidelines/master design from Global Marketing à No recalls caused by AwOps & TechOps à Reduced deviations according to annual global KPI target
- For key processes the defined Standard Operation Procedures are complied with
- Agreed documentation accuracy (data maintenance) for all process steps is achieved
- Ensure implementation of CAPAs with CMOs, NEAS, Artwork Studios, etc.

* Supply

- Milestones are kept due to timely submission of approved artwork and Printed Packaging Material Sheet (PPMS) to the relevant parties à No launch delays due to TechOps à In-time implementation of Safety related artwork updates à No stock outs caused by AwOps & TechOps

* Training and Onboarding

- Manage and supervise onboarding of newcomers within AwOps ESO as well as NEAS
- Create, execute and monitor training plans
- Close collaboration and monitoring of newcomers and identify actions in case of issues or escalate if necessary

Requirements:

* Formal education in typesetting, printing or comparable business areas

* Experience in packaging engineering

* University degree or higher education with technical, economical or scientific degree (Fachhochschule) English (fluent) and any other European Language (min. intermediate)

* Know-how of best practices in change control/material mgt. (systems)

* Minimum 3-years of experience in artwork creation environment and/or global project management experience or

* 3-years of experience in Supply Chain Management in industry and ability to act in an intercultural, complex and rapidly changing business environment

* Interact and communicate as required and provide adequate feedback to all people

* Ability to lead/influence and motivate colleagues and external service providers

* Strong communication and presentation skills

* Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills

* Comfortable with managing relationships with all levels/functions within and outside the company
