Supply Chain Controller

A supply chain position has arisen within our leading aerospace client.

The role: 6 months but with a view to going permanent long term for the right person

Based in Birmingham our client is looking for someone with some engineering purchasing skills or from a buyer/planner background and may also consider someone who is from a logistics background but is looking for an opportunity to move into supply chain.

Day to day duties of this role will be varied and there will be eventual room for progression but here is an overview of your typical tasks:

*Working with senior buyers to assist on strategic supply chain projects
*Excel spreadsheet work and internal and external emailing
*Management of supplier schedules
*Improving supplier performance
*Data/system work

Previous Skills required:

*You will need excellent IT skills and some knowledge of MRP systems such as SAP or Epicore.
*Previous Buyer related experience or senior logistics role
*Some prior experience or genuine interest in engineering related companies

This role could also suit business study or related graduates who are eager to gain experience in an engineering supply chain role.
