Outsource UK Ltd are actively seeking to recruit a Supply Chain Assistant for a 12 month contract role on behalf of a client.

THE JOB:

To perform assigned procurement/supply chain tasks associated with the eSourcing system (Exostar) use to issue ITTs electronically to Suppliers. The role includes supporting the delivery of procurement/supply chain plans, and interaction with internal and external suppliers & customers as directed.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- To be a confident web based system user who is willing to explore applications and try to solve problems independently
- Monitoring and reporting on the progress of ITTs on Exostar
- Proficient in the use of appropriate IT packages including Microsoft Office Applications and in particular Excel.
- Ability to respond to internal/external customer enquiries, providing information and guidance as appropriate on the use of the Exostar system.
- High level of accuracy when inputting and cleansing data
- Ability to analyse, maintain and produce data/reports
- Ability to prioritise work load and set/meet customer expectations
- Can take ownership of problems and will attempt to resolve issues before escalating.
- Operate and administer IT Applications in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Provide support and training to internal and external users
- To provide information and support to the Supply Chain Advisors and Managers in the preparation of procurement/supply chain strategies.
- To provide information and support in the preparation of key processes in accordance with the departmental procedures
- To provide information and support in the negotiation of commercial, financial, and schedule elements of the subcontracts/project and any authorised changes in line with departmental procedures
