The Background

A leading Automotive Manufacturer is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join their team on a 6 month contract.

The Role

• Promoting improvements within the material flow e.g. SCM, JIT, kanban, visual management etc.
• Managing supplier scheduling in line with company policies for stockholding & customer schedules
• Effectively communicating with the Customer & Supply base, ensuring they are kept fully informed as to the status of ongoing requirements, including material status during engineering change.
• Inputting & maintaining the BOM's for all parts on site, setting up MFG Pro system for new works streams
• Preparing production & capacity plans, ensuring product is manufactured and delivered in line with Customer requirements, whilst maintaining pre-defined levels of inventory.
• You will be responsible for the local supply base, ensuring timely and accurate placement of orders
• Measuring & improving supplier performance in line with vendor management systems
• You'll also be responsible for the appropriate dissemination and maintenance of customer/supplier information e.g. forecasts, packaging specifications/NPI process.

You'll have exposure & working knowledge to MRP or ERP systems.
You'll demonstrate an exceptional level of customer and supplier relationship management skills.
