Working for a established organisation, the ideal applicant will be required to manage and deliver the procurement & supply chain activities associated within the specified business unit. You will manage the development of procurement & supply chain strategies, plans & the associated engagement and management of suppliers/projects. In addition, you will be responsible for the management and development of team members to ensure the business objectives are meet as required.

This will include:

*Prepare the Procurement/Supply Chain strategies & plans for materials and services
*Support and prepare outputs and deliverables and select suppliers with the departmental procedures.
*Support and or negotiate all commercial, financial, and schedule elements of the subcontracts/project and any authorised changes in line with departmental procedures
*Proactively support and deliver effective supplier management and service delivery.
*Identify and implement cost saving opportunities.
*Act as the primary point of contact with assigned suppliers and customers (internal/external).

Skills/Experience required:

*Experience of working within a Procurement/Supply Chain Department
*Commercial and contractual acumen.
*An understanding of cost drivers in the value chain and the principles of Total Cost of Ownership
*An understanding of change programmes, risk & opportunity management
*Ability to communicate at all levels, internally and externally.
