Supplier Quality Engineer.*contract to Direct* Job

SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER is needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in LOVES PARK, IL.

- Major aerospace company is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer. For strong worker/skill set this position will ideally go PERMANENT.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Collect Information from multiple sources and enter into ERP system
- Reads blueprints and materials (GD&T)
- Reviews Quality Supplier paperwork
- Audit suppliers
- Technical Data Updating in ERP system
- Follow up on Issues/Troubleshoot technical issues with documents
- Develop/maintain documents for production Routers for fabrication and assembly
- Develop/maintain technical operational work instructions for fabrication and planning
- Provide Real Time support to production teams for resolution of processing issues
- Ensure producibility of mechanical designs from documents
- Implement sustainable corrective actions that prevent reoccurrence of root causes
- Communicate w/suppliers regarding issues and fixes
- Update quality system requirements for PO's and documents
- Assist in conversion of documents to Oracle ERP system
- Develop tooling solutions as needed for fixturing and manufacturing
- Be responsible for developing processes to improve safety, quality, and productivity
- Resolve shop issues involving equipment, machinery and tooling and lead solution implementation
- Drive continuous improvement and change
- Liaise with engineering and new products teams to qualify new products and design changes to existing product

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Entry level Mechanical Engineering background/skill set
- Strong computer skills
- Basic blueprint/drawing reading (GD&T preferred)
- Will review one to two (1-2 year) experience or recent graduate if mechanically inclined/right degree
- Oracle/ERP experience
- Must have degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Requires Technical mechanical understanding of documents
- Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and provide efficient solutions
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously
- Ability to work in a Matrix organization
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to team projects
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, oral and written
- Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy

- This is a six (6) month contract with the likelihood of going direct, paying $28 per hour.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing
- Six Sigma training or equivalent Quality training
- Exposure to Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Process FMEA
