Supplier Quality Management Specialist

12 month Contract

£300-£350 per day

Middlesex & 50% travel to other sites UK & Global

Working for a Global leading Oil & Gas company, my client is looking to recruit a Supplier Quality Management Specialist. This role is integral to the next phase of a global supplier management project which has been taking place globally within the business. This role will involve substantial travel and is a good potential role for an experienced SQM Specialist.

Working closely with Audit suppliers the role will involve: Leading audit teams consisting of quality and technical auditors for supplier site assessments, resource coordination, collection and evaluation of evidence, report writing and compilation, problem investigation & working with suppliers to improve their quality systems, processes and performance. The ideal candidate will have an Engineering related degree, Six sigma or Black belt, ISO certificate as well as considerable experience in quality management systems and processes.

Hands on experience in auditing within the manufacturing industry is also required. Proficiency in use of quality control tools (FMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, 8D, 5-Why, Statistical Process Control etc.), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) is also desirable.
