Supplier Quality Engineer - Automotive - South East

Supplier quality engineer required for a six month contract within the automotive industry. Good rates are on offer for the right candidate. The role on offer could be based in Luton or Southampton.

The role will involve;

- Manage supplier base and supplier activities, rejects, repairs, supplier communications and purchasing requirements
- Ensure suppliers understand their roles and responsibilities to supply parts
- TS16949 Audit control and Maintenance.
- EMS Audit control and Maintenance.
- Stand in, in absence of the other Quality Engineers
- Ensure that all documentation conforms to industry/customer quality standards and supports customer new product needs
- Set and communicate specific supplier quality targets and significant characteristics
- Report supplier PPMs monthly, maintain and execute supplier corrective action/development plans
- Support project meetings both internally and with customer
- Drive the supplier APQP process to achieve a quality launch
- Establish and maintain full APQP/PPAP history and next steps for new components
- Support project supplier events or individual APQP reviews
