Supplier Quality Engineer

An exciting opportunity to join an experienced team during a period of expansion for a major engineering player, managing supplier activity.

Location: County Durham

Contract: 12 months +

With significant NPI activity occurring over the course of the next 18 months we are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to support this major manufacturer as the supply chain is restructured, ensuring continued operations within manufacturing.
Responding to daily quality issues and through supplier driven containment activity you will review and approve 8D corrective action plans and ensure accountability with the suppliers related to quality discrepancies.

Candidate
This contract position has the scope to transfer in to a permanent position and hence we are looking for an individual who has a baseline appreciation for the automotive quality framework (APQP, PPAP, ISIR, 8D process) and looking to build on this with direct supplier related activity.
You must be proactive, motivated and with some experience within a manufacturing environment (preferably automotive/off highway).
You will be pragmatic and demonstrate excellent problem solving ability and be comfortable leading project activity.
