Supplier Quality Engineer

A Medical Device company are currently looking to recruit for a Supply Quality Engineer contract position for 6 months in the South East to start ASAP with interviews being conducted this week.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring a plan to ensure all quality and delivery targets are met by suppliers.

Main Duties:
- Approve supplier selection through robust qualification processes.
- Assure supplier compliance to Quality Management System and regulatory requirements through supplier monitoring process.
- Improve supplier quality performance for assigned suppliers via Quality Plan implementation
- Drive Cost reduction project with Supplier.
- Develop positive relationships, manage and implement supplier/engineering changes and new product introductions
- Interface with Suppliers, Engineering, Service, Production and Purchasing to drive Quality improvements that minimize Costs of Quality, specifically Failed on Arrival/Install (FOA/FOI) issues, Field Failures and Factory defects.
- Assure Corrective and Preventive Action plans are developed and executed at assigned suppliers in compliance with the CAPA process.
- Manage Customer complaint investigation to resolution.
- Demonstrate ability to lead, acknowledge, develop, communicate and implement a strategy to ensure compliance.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Degree in engineering or equivalent experience in quality assurance environment.
- Demonstrated experience in manufacturing quality assurance within regulated environment.
- ISO13485 and US-FDA experience preferred.
- Qualified Lead auditor.
