For our client, a market leader in the automotive industry, we are currently hiring a Supplier Performance Engineer (m/f).
Start: as soon as possible, latest 1.7.15
Contract: permanent at Nash direct/Harvey Nash Group
Task:
* Lead of Supplier APQP to assure successful launches
* Decide if supplier is allowed to ship products to client based on data
* provided / PPAP from the supplier
* Lead activity to Program Buyer, PD, AQE and Program Management for a given supplier.
* Coordinate assistance to suppliers in quality disciplines such as FMEAs, Control Plans, Global 8D, Six Sigma and Process/Gauge Capability improvement.
* Determine supplier capacity efficiency (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
* Ensure suppliers develop robust and comprehensive action plans to address low performance and continuous improvement in set of Internal and External indicators and lead supplier team to deliver the fore mentioned to the client.
* Conduct supplier surveys in line with Commodity Strategy.
* Support Plant SQA functions as per agreed Escalation Process
* lead supplier QOS/Focus meetings.
* Provision of first line support to Program Purchasing, Plant Quality /SQA, AQE and Product Engineering/SET personnel on launch Supplier-related issues.
* Act as Plant Advocate for all Supplier issues at plant of assignment regardless of location of supplier
Qualification:
* degree in Engineering or related subject Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering degree
* Know-how of Injection Molding and Decorative Plastics processes
* experience in an operational environment (manufacturing, process, product engineering, etc)
* Knowledge of ISOTS16949 and Quality
* Proven ability to deliver improvements within an operational context, knowledge of Global 8D and Six Sigma disciplines.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills
* Quality mind-set
* Able to facilitate FMEA sessions
* Moderate problem solving workshops (8D discipline’s)
* Ability to work with General Dimensioning & Tolerancing
* Knowledge of APQP
* Six sigma trained
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
* Good English and German language in spoken and written
* MS Office
