Supplier Performance Quality Manager

SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE QUALITY MANAGER

Job Description:
* Partner with Purchasing teams and Supplier Management to identify opportunities to improve supplier quality and supplier performance by developing and implementing effective action plans
* Communicate and ensure understanding of any supplier, purchasing, and/or product changes. Assist with implementation of Procedural and Process changes.
* Assist with internal and external audits
* Take ownership of LEAN/Process Improvement projects (Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, improvement and development of new and existing processes and procedures
* Represent the company and department in frequent industry discussion groups and external benchmarking

Desired Skills & Experience:

REQUIRED:
* Bachelors Degree in Science or Engineering
* 6+ years experience in Quality within FDA-regulated environments
* Project Management expertise (including specific projects / specific product lines worked)
* Hands-on experience with the full Quality System lifecycle, from initial development to post-market management
* Lean Six Sigma (used in practice with evidence of specific achievements, not simply training)
* Risk Management
* Interaction and partnership with Purchasing teams in addition to Suppliers

DESIRABLE:
* Supply Chain experience
* CAPA
* Statistical Analysis
* Computer Skills
* Technical Writing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Masters Degree in science or engineering
* Lean Six Sigma certification
* PMP certification
* Experience with new product development processes, analyzing requirements and issues related to evaluation, selection, and maintenance of suppliers
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Evidence of success in working with crossfunctional, global teams (internally and externally). Ability to build relationships across functional boundaries at multiple levels (internally and externally)
* Excellent judgement and decision-making abilities
* 5-10% travel anticipated
