Supplier Development Consultant

As a Supplier Development Specialist, you will lead and facilitate supplier improvement projects to achieve Quality, Delivery, Cost and Capability improvements in our client's external supply chain.

You will deliver supplier improvement through the application of lean tools and your strong lean operational knowledge. You will lead a multi-functional improvement project team and prioritise resources accordingly and successfully. You will be able to see the bigger picture, visualise situations, comfortable dealing with people at all levels of an organisation and able to deliver a compelling vision.

The Supplier Development Specialist will work directly with suppliers from the UK, and mainland Europe.

You will be responsible for:
*Implementing improvement projects as part of improving the performance of a business, through the application of appropriate LEAN & quality improvement tools, across our European supply chain.
.Coordination of a cross functional team - Manufacturing Engineer, Procurement Specialist, Value Improvement/Costing Engineers, to generate sustained improvement with the external supplier.
.Working with the suppliers to develop an empowered culture within their organisation through a structured leadership development programme.
.Leading "Best Practice Sharing" events within the external supply chain, to enable suppliers to visualise best practice in action.
.Training and coaching suppliers to improve aspects of their business performance.
.Developing supplier operational capabilities to meet current and future requirements.
.Mentoring & coaching of Supplier Development Leaders and developing Supplier Development skill sets.
