Supplier Contracts Manager/Procurement - Banking - Banbury - circa £500/day - 12 months

The UK's leading retail bank is currently in the middle of a major change and transformation programme. In order to drive through these changes and meet significant growth targets, improvements to cost and simplifications to the business model need be achieved.

A key area here is the contract and performance management of the multiple suppliers which are critical to the IT Delivery of the Transformation Programme.

As such you will

- Participate in resourcing activities and provide appropriate input to HR processes.
- Plan and monitor areas of work, cost and service reporting on progress using IT reporting standards to ensure that work is completed in line with defined budgets and performance targets. You will provide input into budget setting/financial proposals.
- Identify, designys, obtainys approval for, and subsequently develops implements and communicates processes/systems necessary to reflect organisation and business changes
- Manage effective stakeholder relationships within own area of responsibility to improve the overall service provided by that area
- Identify, define and assesses complex, abstractly defined issues/problems within own area of responsibility
- Challenge existing practices and approaches, and regularly suggests continuous improvements and new ideas that will benefit the experience of the business/customers when dealing with Group IT
- Ensures all work is completed in accordance with established processes, appropriate service standards, practices and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvements to new and existing processes/procedures/systems
- Provide guidance and assistance to others

To be considered you should have similar experience within a banking environment and demonstrate such competencies on your CV. Although this role will primarily be based in the heart of Oxfordshire there must be flexibility to travel to other locations across the UK.
