Supervisor

Immediate need for a Supervisor of Procurement / Purchasing on Petrochemical Projects. Requires a BS Degree and/or 5 years related experience and a minimum of 8-10 years direct experience in Purchasing, Business Operations, Field Operations, Engineering, Project Management of Accounting. Prefer Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) and working knowledge of contract law and applications. Seeking local candidates to the Carteret, New Jersey area but will consider candidates with qualified experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- This is a supervisory position with multiple direct reports who are located locally as well as remotely
- Will manage the resources and the strategy, implementation, and continuity of key Purchasing objectives in the acquisition of materials and services for the Rebuild Project for Oil, Gas and Chemical Storage facility.
- Provide the leadership to the Rebuild Project Procurement team and manage day to day processes to procure project materials and services.
- Actively participate in all project meetings, vendor/contractor pre-bid meetings, bid clarification meetings and vendor/contractor negotiations, meeting objectives of cost control, quality, and schedule, and ensure adequate Scopes of Work are in place for all agreements
- Travel is required, and is anticipated as 10%-20%

REQUIREMENTS

- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Accounting, or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years direct work experience in Purchasing, Contract Administration, Operations, Engineering, or Accounting may be considered an acceptable degree substitute
- In addition to the degree requirement (or degree substitute), must have at least 8-10 years direct and active work experience in Purchasing, Business Operations, Field Operations, Engineering, Project Management, or Accounting
- Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft applications, including but may not be limited to: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPointwith poven leadership skills, including the ability to set strategic vision
- Experience with sourcing, negotiations, research and the measurement of results as related to project procurement and ensure compliance with Procurement processes, policies and procedures.
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) designation is an assetalong with a working knowledge of contract law principles and the application of contract terms and conditions, specifically as those principles/terms/conditions relate to the procurement of goods and services, a plus
- Experience of engineering standards very helpful and in the development and monthly variance reporting, and forecasting for RC and capital budgets, is advantageous
