Superintendent

CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT/SITE SUPERVISOR is needed in southern TN (near Pulaski. Now interviewing for immediate start! Only Candidates with Foundation, structural and concrete experience on Heavy Industrial or Manufacturing facilities experience will be considered. Must have strong computer skills with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Local candidates only. This is a 9-month contract with competitive hourly rate and benefits. Living allowance assistance may be available.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- You will manage and control assigned projects, including overseeing field operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, and trade contractor and supplier coordination and work with the Project Manager to lead the project team.
- Maintain construction services staff, recruiting, selecting and training employees, maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
- Communicate job expectations to staff, plan,monitor, and appraise job results, enforce the company's Quality Management System (QMS), policies and procedures
- Coordinate information requirements with subcontractors, vendors and office staff to meet construction schedules.
- Maintain safe on-site work environment by implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures; ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements; direct the investigation of accidents and preventative improvements.
- Achieve financial objectives; assist in contract negotiations; meet budget projections, submit information for budget prep, monitor costs; analyze variances; review invoices.
- Fulfill contract requirements and build productive subcontractor relationships, complete daily on-site inspection of work in place and work in process; and complete adjustments and corrections.
- Improve results and project quality: Evaluate systems results; recommend newsystem, policies and procedures; recommend value-added revisions to plans

REQUIREMENTS

- This position requires experience with Foundations, structural and concrete and experience on Heavy Industrial or Manufacturing facilities.
- You must have at least a High school diploma with at least 5 to 7 years of experience as an on-site superintendent or field engineer, knowledge of construction trades, industrial construction and project management. B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Must have proficiency in Excel, Word, MS Project, Outlook, and the ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Must have strong verbal and written presentation skills.
