Summit System Technical support - Contractor
12 month Daily Rate contract London -
Location Dublin City Centre
Start date - 2-3 weeks
My client is looking for a Summit System Technical support resource - Purpose of the role:
This role will provide support to the business in relation to the residential mortgage systems and in particular Summit. The role is in a dynamic and challenging environment area that will suit an energetic self-starter.

This is a support and maintenance role that requires a good knowledge of business and technical processes.

Key tasks & responsibilities:
Provide the main technical and application support including problem resolution in relation to Summit and related applications.
Provide end-of-day support for Summit on a rota (this will only apply after suitable training has been given)
Represent the support team at meetings nominated by the manager
Provide feedback to the business on support issues
Manage the open support issues assigned by the manager in a timely fashion
Develop new reports from the Summit system as assigned by the manager
Work closely with business users to clearly understand their requirements and design solutions that meet these requirements within agreed timescales and costs.
Analyse and document user requirements
Assist in resolving business/technical queries as they arise
Ensure that all solutions/designs are documented to IT department standards.
Provide technical support for UATs

The successful candidate should:
Have a good knowledge of the Summit system
Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Financial Services ideally in retail mortgages

Technical skills
Excellent knowledge of SQL preferably within an Oracle database environment. Versions 9i, 10g or 11g.
Good experience of writing ad-hoc reporting-style queries against large enterprise databases.
Have a track record of application support
