The Role

Property Services, has responsibility for an extensive and diverse property portfolio of operational and non-operational premises. This includes office buildings, fire stations, care homes, educational; centres, parcels of land, and a number of various other types of assets. Our service delivers every aspect of Property management including design of new buildings, the managing and maintaining of assets including refurbishment and adaption of existing buildings. Property Services are also responsible for the acquisition and disposal of property assets, and the management of tenancies, leases and other agreements.

You will evolve and deliver the Council's acquisition and disposal strategy in accordance with the Strategic Asset Management Plan in conjunction with the Senior Management Team. You will identify investment and regeneration opportunities, ensuring the delivery of associated projects as an overall programme of work working closely with the Asset Strategy & Planning Manager who has responsibility for the Non Schools Delivery Team.

The post holder will be commercially astute and excel in a partnership environment ensuring that high profile, complex projects are linked to Council and wider stakeholder priorities and turned into deliverable programmes of work.

The role will be based at County Hall, Kingston-Upon-Thames, however, there will be frequent travel across the South East.

This is a 18 month fixed term full time contract.
