Substation Engineer

Substation Designers and Engineers experienced with 115kV and 230kV range are needed for the design, modeling, development and testing of substations. This is a long term contract position located in Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Designs Substations and creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs
- Monitors quality of products and controls the efficiency of processes and evaluates the design overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
- Investigates root causes of failures to maintain quality, reliability and recommends improvements.

REQUIREMENTS

- Substation design work in the 115kV and 230kV range and the expertise to design, model, develop and test substations
- Must have the skills to creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary Substation designs, test components, and integrate components to produce final product.
- Proficiency with MicroStation is desired
- BS Technical is a big plus. Client will consider candidates with no degree or Associated degree if you have strong substation design experience
