Substation Engineer

Substation design firm in Reading, PA is seeking an Electrical Substation Engineer with a BSEE; PE and must have a PE license in MD. The main responsibility is to perform calculations and design of substations on a multiple year project. this is a 6 month temp-to-perm position with the possibility of working from home or reporting to the Reading, PA office. Great pay and permanent position for the right candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop one line diagrams and schematic diagrams on voltage classifications from 13kV through 500kV
- Develop general arrangement equipment layouts as well as develop equipment elevation details.
- Develop bill of materials, grounding plans and cable trench systems
- Review vendor drawings and interface with client.
- Perform electrical necessary calculations and interface with civil/structural engineering team.

REQUIREMENTS

- BSEE, a minimum of 8-10(+) years of substation experience and has worked on voltage classifications from 13kV through 500kV.
- Must have a PE license in MD or ability to obtain one quickly and registered in PA is a preference.
