Substance Misuse Worker - West Yorkshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Service Care Solutions for a Substance Misuse Worker to join an NHS team in the West Yorkshire area treating patients suffering from opiate addiction. The post is full-time (37.5 hours per week) for a period of 2 months, with a view to extend. The position is paying 13-16ph Limited, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
*The candidate will work within an established substance misuse team, carrying a case load of 18-65 year old substance misuse patients providing high quality care.
*Working on an appointment basis working with primarily opiate dependant patients.
* You will be required to perform signposting, assessments, risk assessments, assisting in script writing and working with both harm reduction and health promotion, carry out 1:1 sessions and occasional group work
* To work effectively as part of a MDT (Multi-Disciplinary Team) and liaise with Doctors.

Person Specification:
* The successful candidate must have previous experience of working with substance misusers, and a working knowledge of substitute prescribing regimes is essential
* A minimum 12 months working in the community, dealing with a wide range of substance misuse clients.
*Prescribing knowledge is beneficial for the role.
