Substance Misuse Parent Support Worker - London

Our client has a job vacancy for a Substance Misuse Parent Support Worker to work in London. This is a full time position with an initial 3 month contract and the pay rate for this role is 15-17 per hour (limited company worker).

Duties -
- Working to support to the parents and families of the young people undergoing treatment.
- Developing and overseeing a weekly drop in for families and carers and deliver structured group work shop programme to enable parents to support the treatment that their young people are undertaking.
- Developing substance misuse workshops to access parents across the borough and increase awareness and knowledge of the harms/effects and signs and symptoms of drug use amongst young people.
- Carrying a caseload of parents/carers who require support and/or information and advice on their young person's substance misuse.

Requirements -
All applicants must have at least 2 years recent experience working in the Substance Misuse field aswell as experience working with young people and supporting parents. Applicants must also have a CRB dated in the last 12 months.
