Subsea URF Operations Engineer

Our client is looking for a Subsea URF Operations Engineer to work as the primary contact for URFs in the operational phase. This will involve managing subsea support engineering contracts, after market contracts and IMR contracts. Initially based in Aberdeen then Perth, Western Australia.

Key responsibilities include:

. Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company's policies and procedures
. Take ownership of the Subsea URF integrity, evaluation, development and execution of preventative maintenance requirements and associated reporting to demonstrate the integrity of the subsea URF asset.
. Develop URF IMR philosophies, strategies and plans for operations phase of project, including ROV routes, CP points, sparing strategy, repair plans, etc
. Participate with Design and Safety Reviews, HAZOP, HAZIDs, FMECA, Risk Assessments, etc
. Provide operational, technical support and monitoring during manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, testing, SIT and installation of URF equipment to ensure delivery in-line with Operations goals and objectives
. Assist project team with and/or develop specifications and procedures, where appropriate, for the onshore testing, loadout, installation and commissioning of subsea URF systems
. Interface with Subsea Controls, Subsea systems and Flow Assurance disciplines, as-well as drilling operations.
. Co-ordination of investigation of failure within URF operational lifetime. Initiating and managing technical studies with external contractors and consultants

Key qualifications, skills and experience required:

. Significant experience in subsea URF, including flexible risers and URF operations such as installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of URF systems
. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
. In depth knowledge of URF systems design and operations.
. Familiar with all the mechanical interfaces associated with subsea systems, manifolds, structures and general equipment installation and operations.
. Experience associated with offshore installation methods, ROV and diver operations for inspection, maintenance and repair of subsea equipment.
. Proficiency in underwater corrosion, fatigue and VIV considerations, structural analysis, and remediation of marine growth problems
. Proficient in using Microsoft Suite and SAP software.
