Description: * The Subsea Product Line (SSPL) is a global support group responsible for all of company's subsea activities focusing on business development, service quality and product development * The primary function of the Senior Engineer will be to work closely with the SSPL bid support team, Group Engineering and SSPL client base to ensure technical solutions and bespoke engineering concepts are provided when necessary to capture business growth opportunities Principal Accountabilities: 1. To identify, develop, maintain and promote company's subsea engineering capability to ensure current and future subsea growth. 2. To communicate to client(s) engineering solutions or bespoke concepts to ensure company remains or is identified as their preferred supplier 3. To ensure Technical front end risks are understood, effectively managed and communicated prior to contract award. 4. Responsible for the compilation of Technical proposals when necessary to ensure tender delivery is performed to the highest standards 5. Responsible for the compilation of Technical drawings and / or documents for internal review when necessary to ensure ITT or client compliance. 6. To work closely with regional teams and group engineering when necessary to ensure Technical aspect of the tender delivery is performed to the highest standards. 7. Provide Subsea technical presentations to clients whilst identifying project requirements and business development opportunities. 8. Attend subsea industry events when needed to provide subsea product support. 9. To contribute in the creation and up keep of subsea marketing material. 10. Provide technical feedback to support justification for new Subsea related engineering developments. 11. To contribute towards strategies and action plans with Region and Product Lines to secure key opportunities. 12. To contribute to the achievement of SSPL's budget through the development and understanding of our client technology and business needs. Organisation: a) Immediate Supervisor(s) Line: Technical Sales Manager b) Other jobs reporting to the same supervisor: Senior Sales Representative c) Immediate Subordinates: None Job Context and Main Activities: * To ensure Technical integrity of any tenders and proposals * To complete risk evaluations based on ITT or client technical requests / requirements * Client meetings to ensure a positive perception of company and to seek business opportunities * Interfacing with Regional teams and Group Engineering to ensure Technical integrity of any tenders and proposals * Participating as a key member of the team to achieve SSPL's targets and goals. Job Challenges: * Prioritising key opportunities with a regional and global view * Communicating effective subsea technical solutions to our existing and future client base * Identifying key subsea technology opportunities with our existing and future client base * Developing a depth of understanding on offshore subsea completions / interventions / work over operations to support client relationships and needs * Developing the required client relationship and trust to be informed on future technology needs and competitor position. Job Knowledge and Qualifications: * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Good decision making and technical background * Preferred engineering degree * Technical awareness with a bias towards identifying and pursuing business opportunities * Subsea or Well Test experience
