Town Subsea Pipelines Engineer

Job Description:
To take a leading role in the delivery of the design of subsea pipelines and risers

Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership in the delivery of subsea projects
Contribute to the technology development of the team.
Represent Company at meetings.
Contribute towards bids and tenders.
Complete & check calculations.
Complete and check project deliverables.
Perform all reasonable job tasks required by line manager.

Skills Required (Background, experience and qualifications):

Essential:
Relevant years of experience in the Subsea Engineering industry. Relevant years of experience undertaking the detailed design of pipelines and risers.
Minimum - first Degree or equivalent in relevant Engineering discipline and CEng &/or PEng. Jobholders may possess professional qualifications other than CEng etc.
Experience with working on Study projects & contributing to FEEDs, Option reviews etc.
Pipeline stress analysis (eg Wall thickness, on bottom stability, UHB, Spanning, Expansion, tie in spool stress analysis, riser analysis).
Experience with Abaqus FE Analysis.
Experience with MathCad.
Check isometrics, general arrangement, field layout, alignment sheets & approach drawings.
Understanding of the principles of fatigue.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent report writing skills.
Ability to speak the English language.
Good computer literacy with particular competence in MS Office software.
