Submarine Safety Lead

SUBMARINE SAFETY LEAD - CONTRACT - CUMBRIA- GREAT RATES!

As the safety lead for the client, the successful candidate will deal directly with prime contractor representatives to ensure safety elements of the project are effectively scoped, safety activity is timely, methodology is appropriate and outputs are suitable and sufficient, so that safety requirements are met as the project transitions between phases.

To fulfil this role will typically require knowledge and experience of delivering safety and environmental management in a major capital project, experience of auditing, experience in the use of hazard identification and assessment techniques, together with production and maintenance of safety and environmental cases and safety and environmental case reports.

Experience is also required in project management, leadership, delivering value for money and management of subcontractors. Where no security clearance is held, successful candidates will be required to go through the government security vetting process.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

- ONC/HNC in relevant discipline or equivalent;
- NSQEP (Level 1, Awareness) (or RN SM Operator Experience);
- Nuclear Introductory Course (or RN SM Operator Experience);
- Ship Safety Management Office (SSMO).
